Don’t appeal to store
The worst thing that can happened to me in my #gamedev experience is when I began subconsciously making games to fit store’s expectations instead of making a game I was excited about.
Sadly, it happened to me really hard and I’ve almost quit gamedev
But then realised this thing. It’s kind of obvious and you hear about it many times but learn only when you experience it yourself
So for the next decade of making games I’ll do my best to learn from this mistake. And it’s applicable to other medium as well
